Eye Glasses

It's been four months and five days since I have last updated my blog. Four months of drastic changes in my career, ideas and philosophy. Also, four lovely months of inspiration and the willingness to succeed and welcome change, however scary it might be.

And during these past few months I've worked on some very meaningful social projects which are highly relevant to the role of women in Indian society. As an illustrator, you try to add color to a cause and change someones perceptions with a visual. In doing so, I've learnt about the power of art as well as the power of inward movement.

It began with the fearless campaign, a response to the horrible events in Dehli this past year. In an effort to raise the nations consciousness about women's safety and empowerment, the "Fearless Poster Collective" has spread far and wide throughout the streets and hearts of Indians.

Then came along "One Billion Rising", a movement against domestic violence. The founder- Eve Ensler, enouraged women and men to leave their homes, schools and work places on the 14th of February 2013 and dance. This cause was incredibly personal and important, and something I was so lucky to work on.

I am also very proud :) to state that I am a full time (until further notice) freelancer and co-founder of our tiny collective "Illustration Much." I have felt so lucky and blessed, and happy!

We were even in the paper this past week :)
